"A really great wine, the 2022 ‘Grand Select’ Pinot Noir is silky and round on the mouth with a refined texture. Loads of silky red fruits fill the palate alongside salty minerals. The use of oak here is really well done and gently caresses the red-fruit core. Gorgeous now, watch this evolve over the next decade."

"The 2022 Pinot Noir Grand Select is from the lighter, sandier soils of the Bisamberg and made from the best barrels of Select that aged for 20 months in a range of barrel sizes from 228 to 600 liters, with a higher proportion of new wood. Delicate dark cherry only has the merest hint of toast that relaxes into subtle smokiness. The palate is concentrated, defined and smooth, showing freshness and dense, slightly drying tannin, but it has digested its portion of new oak very well; neither is there any heft or heat from 2022.
