Fred Loimer is one of Austria’s most innovative and respected winemakers, known for his biodynamic approach and precision-crafted wines from Kamptal. After taking over his family estate in Langenlois in 1997, Loimer transformed it into a modern yet deeply terroir-driven domaine.
The estate is best known for Grüner Veltliner and Riesling, which thrive on Kamptal’s contrasting soils of primary rock and loess. The wines show bright fruit, crisp acidity, and distinct mineral profiles, whether from the steep Heiligenstein vineyard or the loess-rich Käferberg. Loimer also produces sparkling wines (Sekt) that highlight Austria’s growing reputation in this category.
