Sattlerhof produces precise, mineral-driven Sauvignon Blanc and whites from Styria’s steep slopes.
Sattlerhof is a family estate in southern Styria, Austria, long recognized for its precise, mineral-driven white wines. Now in its third generation of family management, the domaine is considered one of the benchmarks for Sauvignon Blanc in Europe.
The vineyards are steep and demanding, with soils of sand, gravel, and limestone. Sauvignon Blanc expresses itself here with racy acidity, herbal aromatics, and a distinctive mineral backbone. Sattlerhof also produces excellent Chardonnay (locally known as Morillon) and Muskateller, each reflecting the region’s freshness.
Südsteiermark’s cool climate and high-altitude vineyards foster wines of clarity and tension. Sattlerhof demonstrates why this region is regarded as Austria’s white wine frontier.
