Mil Suelos crafts high-altitude wines from Uspallata, Mendoza’s frontier of viticulture, where extreme terroir delivers freshness, structure, and minerality.
Mil Suelos, meaning “a thousand soils,” is dedicated to exploring the extremes of Andean viticulture. Its home, Estancia Uspallata, is one of the highest vineyard sites in Mendoza—planted at nearly 2,000 meters above sea level in a remote valley of the Precordillera. This pioneering location marks the outer edge of where vines can thrive, producing wines defined by precision, freshness, and minerality.
The focus is on Malbec, Cabernet Franc, and blends that favor elegance over sheer power. Altitude preserves natural acidity and aromatic lift, while rocky alluvial soils and dramatic diurnal shifts build structure and aging potential.
By unlocking the character of Uspallata, Mil Suelos is helping to redefine the possibilities of Argentine wine on the global stage.
