About This Producer
In short: Jean-Marc Boillot produces refined Côte de Beaune wines that balance modern precision with Burgundian tradition.
Jean-Marc Boillot, a descendant of both the Boillot and Sauzet families, established his own domaine in 1985 and quickly rose to prominence for both red and white Burgundies. His wines are known for their clarity, energy, and modern yet balanced style.
The domaine farms vineyards in Puligny-Montrachet, Volnay, and Pommard, among others, producing whites with minerality and tension, and reds that combine fruit purity with supple tannins. His Puligny-Montrachet Premier Crus are particularly esteemed.
By marrying traditional vineyard practices with restrained use of oak and precise vinification, Boillot creates wines that are approachable in youth but also built to age.
