About This Producer

South Africa – Constantia (Cape Peninsula)

In short: Constantia Glen, family-owned, produces refined Bordeaux-style blends in South Africa’s historic Constantia Valley.

Constantia Glen is a boutique family-owned estate situated in South Africa’s historic Constantia Valley, with roots in winemaking dating back to the 17th century. Today, the estate remains in private family hands, producing some of the Cape’s most elegant Bordeaux-style wines.

Its reds — based on Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc — are finely structured and aromatic, while its Sauvignon Blanc and blends with Sémillon are crisp, fresh, and mineral. Constantia Glen’s balanced style reflects its cool, maritime-influenced terroir.

Located on high-altitude slopes of Table Mountain, the vineyards benefit from slow, even ripening and cooling sea breezes. This environment fosters wines of precision and distinction, true to the Constantia heritage.
