For more than a century, the Perrins have been stewards of some of the region’s most celebrated vineyards, anchored by their flagship estate, Château de Beaucastel. Since a Perrin began tending to Beaucastel in 1909, the family has helped define the standard for traditional Rhône winemaking—embracing the full range of permitted Rhône varieties and farming organically long before it became commonplace. Today, they remain pioneers of organic and biodynamic viticulture in the region, guided by a philosophy that prioritizes soil health, biodiversity, and wines that faithfully express their terroir.

While Beaucastel remains the family’s spiritual home, the Perrins’ work extends across the Southern Rhône’s most storied crus. From the dramatic limestone foothills beneath the Dentelles de Montmirail in Gigondas to the galet-strewn vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, their holdings reveal the remarkable diversity of the region’s soils and microclimates. These wines capture both the generosity and structure that define the Southern Rhône, while reflecting the Perrin family’s long-standing commitment to thoughtful farming and careful élevage.

Whites & Reds from the Rhône Valley

For this offer, we are highlighting a selection of Southern Rhône crus that showcase this heritage and sense of place, at prices that mean you can enjoy these wines any day of the week. 

• Famille Perrin, “Les Sinards” Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc – Les Sinards Blanc comes from a small 2.5-hectare vineyard within the family’s Clos de Châteauneuf-du-Pape, adjacent to parcels used for Sinards Rouge. The vineyard sits on alpine diluvium deposits, pebbles, and clay, which retain warmth while supporting balanced ripening. The blend is composed primarily of Grenache Blanc, Clairette, and Roussanne, varieties that together create both texture and freshness. 
• Famille Perrin, “Les Sinards” Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge – Les Sinards Rouge is a more immediately accessible expression of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. This wine created from the union of three vineyards: young vines at Beaucastel (under 20 years old), south-west facing Syrah from the Clos de Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and from Le Grès, 4km from Beaucastel. The vineyards are rooted in soils formed from a Miocene marine deposits covered with the rounded pebbles of alpine diluvium, as well as a parcel on Urgonian limestone. Les Sinard is composed mainly of Grenache with some Mourvèdre and Syrah, unlike Beaucastel, delivering elegance paired with generous fruit and savory complexity.
• Famille Perrin, “La Gille” Gigondas – From one of the most historic vineyards in Gigondas, La Gille is a classic expression of the appellation crafted by Famille Perrin. Located on the mid-slopes west of the village, the terraced vineyard faces northwest and benefits from cooling air currents that help slow ripening and preserve freshness. Soils of limestone, chalky marl, clay, and sand (known as safres) give the Grenache remarkable finesse and aromatic complexity, while select parcels planted on sandy soils include rare pre-phylloxera vines that contribute depth and purity of fruit. 10% Syrah adds a touch of color and structure to the blend.

In addition to these crus, we are delighted to offer a few bottles from the Domaine du Clos des Tourelles, one of the most remarkable single sites in Gigondas. Nestled at the foot of the village beneath the dramatic limestone spires of the Dentelles de Montmirail. This building has been was the first construction outside the fortified walls of the village of Gigondas. Built on medieval foundations, this beautiful Provencal home was erected in the XVII century and now forms a beautiful estate with its two towers, owned and preserved by the Perrin family. 

• Domaine du Clos des Tourelles, Gigondas –The 10-hectare vineyard includes a historic walled clos adjacent to the estate, where Grenache (80%), Syrah, Cinsault and Mourvèdre are planted in a mix of limestone and sand. With a northwest exposure and cooler microclimate that slows ripening, the site allows for later harvests and preserves the freshness and aromatic precision that distinguish this cuvée. The Clos des Tourelles is both complex and fresh, with remarkable balance and supple, velvety tannins.
